1) Information We Collect

• Search inputs (city, state, ZIP)
• Location (if you tap the location button and grant permission)
• App usage and feature interactions
• Account identifiers (Sign in with Apple)
• Email address (only if you choose to share it via Apple)
• Custom leaderboard username (if you choose one)
• Leaderboard data (points, rank, badges, and related leaderboard activity)
• Community price submission data (submitted price, station, fuel type, timestamps, and submission counts)
• Community price verification metadata (including precise location, accuracy, and distance-to-station checks when you submit a community price)
• Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID/IDFA if you allow tracking)
• App diagnostics (crash logs and performance data)

2) Location

If you choose to use the location button, we request "When In Use" location access to determine a nearby ZIP code or city/state for search. For location-based search, we primarily use derived location details (such as ZIP or city/state) to run the search.

If you submit a community price, we may collect and process your precise device location at the time of submission to verify that you are near the station (for example, within the required submission radius) and to prevent abuse or fake submissions. We do not use this for background tracking.

3) How We Use Data

• Provide search results and app features
• Authenticate your account and link data across sessions
• Enforce limits and ad rewards
• Verify community price submissions (including proximity checks and anti-abuse protections)
• Operate leaderboard features (username, points, rank, badges, and history)
• Moderate usernames and enforce leaderboard/community rules
• Improve reliability, performance, and fraud prevention
• Show relevant ads if you allow tracking

4) Sharing

We use third-party services to operate the App:

• Firebase (authentication, functions, data storage, crash reporting)
• Apple (Sign in with Apple for authentication)
• Google AdMob (ads)
• Apify (data retrieval)

If you participate in leaderboard features, your chosen username and related leaderboard stats (such as points, rank, and badges) may be visible to other users inside the App.

We do not sell personal data.

5) Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not receive or store payment information.

6) Retention

We retain data as needed to provide the service, operate leaderboard/community features, support fraud prevention, and for analytics. You can clear recent searches, favorites, and history in Settings. You can also delete your account from Settings. We may retain certain records as needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or to preserve community/leaderboard integrity, and we may retain aggregated or de-identified data.

7) Your Choices

• iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Location Services (manage location access)
• iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking (limit ad tracking)
• App Store -> Subscriptions (manage Eagle Scout)
• Settings in the App (clear stored data)
• Settings -> Account -> Delete Account (request account deletion)
• Settings / Leaderboard (set or change your leaderboard username if signed in with Apple)

8) Children

The App is not directed to children under 13.

9) Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use means acceptance of the updated policy.
